THOUGHTS WHILE DOING POTTERY

Sentences: I start with a little piece of clay, and in the beginning it is a little rough and hard to model. I have to be careful not to add too much water, or it will become too soft and difficult to work with.

As I start to form the clay into a desired shape, I find my mind wandering . I think about all of the things that could go wrong, and whether or not this piece is going to turn out well. But then I look down and I see that the clay has taken on a beautiful shape, it is smooth and soft to touch. I am surprised and happy to see the result of my work.

I love the feeling of starting with a piece of clay, and then forming it into something beautiful. I look at the pottery on my shelf and remember how much work went into making those pieces . It makes me feel happy to be able to create things from scratch. And it gives me hope that if I put enough effort in, I can create something beautiful and lasting.
